Garage Door Keypad

This garage door keypad offers two key features not available on commercial counterparts:

Derived power: This unit can power itself from the typical two wire auxiliary button already provided to manually operate the door. This eliminates the need for a separate power supply in most installations.

Improved security: Most commercial units support only a four digit code. This unit can be programmed with variable length codes from 1 to 99 digits.

And it's fun and easy to build, includes an industrial grade keypad, and provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the wonderfully versatile and useful Microchip PIC devices.
